22. Take a look at the titles available on Overdrive or NetLibrary or Project Gutenburg and learn about downloadable audiobooks.
I’m skipping ahead a little bit For this one, I’m referring to my recent InfoEyes presentation on accessible audio books. You can read the post here and check the presentation out on my presentations page.
Until starting research for this presentation I really hadn’t had much exposure to downloadable audio and e books. I had heard of the standard ones, Audible, Overdrive, NetLibrary, Project Gutenburg, etc. I had very little knowledge of the ones geared towards differently-abled folks with blindness, etc.
The presentation was very well received- so much so we might be giving an altered version of this presentation within SecondLife! How very web2.0 of us. haha.
