Having always considered myself the lifelong learner, Professional Student is always a job I’ve had my eyes out for. All I really want to do is learn. About everything. A renaissance soul and Jack-of-all-Trades, I get bored with things quickly and learning something new has always been the best way to help with that. My resume is a testament to this fact.
One of the hardest (and easiest) things for me to do in regards to Lifelong Learning is Play (#7.5 of the 7.5 Habits of Lifelong Learning online tutorial. My dad and I go by the mantra “You don’t stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing.” The hardest part for me though is taking Play and turning it into something else. Practice, for instance. How do I go from Play to something that I can institute into my life, or something that is put into place somewhere else that makes a difference and exists for another reason than playing?
